Christmas was a really fun time here at SGC. Our party was a blast
at the Wentworth Park Greyhounds. Kieren as usual was able to pick a
few winners, I was able to pick lots of dogs that came second!
Thanks to everyone who sent cards, gifts and chockies. The
roleplayers had a great cake which they shared with everyone here on
Christmas Eve.

Kieren was forced to not wear any Christmassy clothing around this
period for fear of being mobbed by mums plonking their babies on his
lap and trying to take photos!

I don’t think I can face another Lindor Ball, Veggie Sausage or
marshmallow Santa for at least 2 weeks!

2007 looks like a great year for us here at SGC, we are having more
events for more games than we have ever had before!
We are in the preparation stages for GAMESCAPE 2007!
We are going to be re-arranging the counter in the shop to make
more space and a new layout.

We’d also like to thank everyone that came and played with us during
the year, we hope you had a great time, we certainly did, and we’re
looking forward to sharing many exciting adventures with you in 2007!

MAGIC:

Events: Tonight- FNM, it’s the last chance to win a bye for the
Sydney 500!

January 7: First VS Modern Age Format Tournament!
$10, 12pm rego
Use cards from the last 4 sets:
So Legion, Heralds, Infinite Crisis, X-Men only!
This will be a really fun and exciting format so start getting a
deck ready NOW!
PCQ: No date confirmed yet for our PCQ before the Pro Circuit, but
be aware there will be one in the next 2 months!

Regular events:
We have a legions draft TONIGHT, Friday 29th Dec, as well as one
next Tuesday the 2nd of January.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

The Australia Day Cup

When: Friday 26th January. Noon rego, 12.30pm start(Friday is a
Public Holiday people!)
Format: Golden Age(best of 3 top 8 play-off)
Entry: $12
Prizes: Winner receives a box of Legions of Superheros, a box of Web
of Spiderman and a box of Heralds of Galactus! Boosters to top 8 at
least, plus if the person coming 9th can beat my Arkham deck in a
best of 3 play-off they win 2 flights into the Marvel Team Up Sneak
Preview FREE!!!

Top 16 and under player will win 12 packs of his or her choice!

This will be a fun day of playing VS, don't miss out!

Australia day weekend special funky tournament:
When: January 28, Time: 12 noon, Cost $5
No more than 2 teams per deck with a limited selection of teams to
choose from.

YGO:

Events: Every Saturday is Sydneys biggest YGO tournament!
9.30am till 1pm for just $5!
School holidays: Every Tuesday and Thursday in the Hols.with a top 8
final to determine the winner!
We give out a mass of boosters(winner gets 16, runner up 12,
everyone wins at least 1!)
Cost: $10, time 12 noon till 4pm

Next Regionals: January 21. This will be a full 8 slot invitational
with play mats. KEEP THIS DAY FREE! Remember that invites do pass
down, so those with invites can play to win prizes, but invites go
down till 8 are given out!

WORLD OF WARCRAFT TCG:

We give out Extended Art Promo cards at all of our regular events!

Constructed: Every Sat Arvo at 1.30pm we play our WoW Hobby league,

POKEMON:

Regular events: Pokemon League is on every Sunday 12 noon till 4pm!
Cost: $6
All ages are able to play in this casual and
friendly day of Poke madness!
Play with Pokemon minis, cards or just colour in to
win limited edition pop packs, badges, rares and foils! We do a
random prize draw at the end, so it doesn’t matter how you go during
the day, you still have a chance to win the BEST CARDS!

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Pokemon City Championship: When: January 21st Cost: FREE!

This is one of Sydneys biggest Pokemon Tournaments with

NARUTO:

This game keeps getting bigger and bigger, the show is on TV every
morning and more and more people are getting caught up in the
amazing adventures of Naruto and his uber cool ninja buddies. The
community for this card game is getting bigger with each new release
and there is going to be a major push with it with tournaments,
prizes and championships next year (2007) Definitely check it out
and get in early!

We have Coils of the Snake boosters in stock! (The second set). It
really opens up the game and gives you tons of more options
including the new client cards!

Regular events: Every Sat at 2pm is our weekly Naruto Genin Level
league
$6 entry, The new set is legal to play with as well!

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Coils of the Snake Sealed Release tournament:
Come celebrate the release of the second set at SGC with
this amazingly fun sealed deck tournament,
Cost: $35 for 5 boosters to make a deck with. You get to

HEROCLIX:

Regular events: This Sunday the format is 100pt forces so that we
can have a couple of quick, exciting and economical games before
everyone heads of to do their New Years Shenanigans. Time 2pm
SHARP!

SPECIAL NEWS:
Next year we are starting something new for our Heroclix events:
We will be getting 4 bonus LE’s for each event in addition to the
regular prizes! These will include some from past sets that are
highly sought after. We will be trying to let people know in advance
what LE will be available for each events so you know what you will
be playing for!

Specials: We are able to order the special 3-D terrain from gale

STAR TREK 2ND EDITION CCG

Our regular weekly Trek tournament is on again this Sunday, and it’s
the last chance for players to increase their SPRINT ratings for the
year. NSW players are in a strong position for us to take the
trophy, so come on guys, lets crank! Play starts at 1pm and we’ll be
well finished by 5pm so we can have a New Years Eve drink!

THANKS

A few people have helped us above and beyond the call of duty this
year, so in no particular order, and at great risk of forgetting
someone, we’d like to especially thank Tony Chung for his brilliant
assistance in working with us each Friday night and Saturday arvo.
It’s a hard task to try to stop ObiWan Foggobi cheating at trivia,
but Tony somehow manages. Adam Harris and Luke Bartter, not only for
being good friends, but for keep SGC a cleaner, nicer place. Luke
also does an amazing job promoting games at the variety of events we
have stands at, always professionally, friendly and enthusiastically
(as does The King James Kong). Marc Losper and Andrew Li for running
our premier Yugioh tournaments at a standard that takes the game to
a new level. The very sexy Julia Birks for making us fliers, giving
us website advice and just for being nice. Our main suppliers
Croftminster, Wizards, Ikon and Walrus and Carpenter for being such
great people to do business with, and particularly Dale, Elizabeth,
Cromwell and Rob from Wizards, Chris Zantides from Upperdeck,
Angela, Kristel and now Vickey(Mistress of Lerve)from Crofties for
their organised play programs and support-if it wasn’t for OP we
wouldn’t exist. Neil and Coz Moreton for always helping out with
Clix, and conventions we attend, but mainly for being great people
and friends, and Chris’s Dad, Bob Foggin, who is always fixing
lights, buzzers, doors and coffees, as well as leading our cheer
squad, many thanks.

Until 2007, smile, and for our friends traveling, travel safe. Happy
and healthy New Year to everyone, see you soon!
