Hey Guys,4 months after announcing that Sydney was chosen to host a VS Pro
Circuit event the time has finally arrived! This will be a 4 day
festival of everything TCG that UDE makes, and comes with prize
support that makes NASA's budget look like Obiwan Foggobi's fashion
kitty. Lots of other things happening at SGC for other games, but if
you have the chance crusie down to the Sports Centre at Homebush for
a look!
THE VS SYSTEM PRO CIRCUIT SYDNEY
As I said in the intro the VS Pro Circuit is on this weekend. There
are still Last Chance Qualifiers on Thursday if you feel like having
a stab at the BIG TIME and haven't qualified already, and a variety
a fun side events for people to play in if they don't make it in, or
if they do and have a little time on their hands. Details as follows:

Looking forward, we have a funky Golden Age tournament where you can
only have 2 teams max! March 18th we have a Silver Age win a box
tournament, and on March 25th we have a learn to play VS event! And
starting March 10th we're running Pauper VS each Saturday afternoon
at 2pm. Decks can have no rare cards, 8 uncommons and as many
commonsa as you like. Entry is just $3 with FOIL SAVAGE BEATDOWN
going to the winner! We also have Hobby League draft on Tuesday
nights from 6pm, Hobby League Constructed Friday Nights from 7pm
(Silver Age)and casual play Thursday(usually a draft with playing
having fun games with their constructed decks.
VS is a fine game, one of my favourites. UDE are making it a more
casual game, easier to get into and more fun. This weekend at the PC
is a great time to learn, so if you'd like to try it the worlds best
players will be on hand to show you hows its done, and the
atmosphere will be insane. Or you can pop into SGC for a demo, you
won't regret it.

MAGIC THE GATHERING COLLECTABLE CARD GAME
Congrats to Carl Cheleski who won last Sundays PTQ Yokohama, beating
Adam "Buster" Douglas in the final to earn an invite, and a plane
ticket, to the Pro Tour in Japan. Great work Carl! FNM was a 3 way
tie between Tomas Torrens, The Dark Lord Lindsay Heming and the
Peoples Champion The Mighty Allan Sharpe. And Hughie Shonkopolis won
his 3rd consectutive MTG draft on thursday night, beating Adrian
Capilitan in the final.
Next Sunday event is a Sealed Two Headed Giant! Details as follows:

The junior league on Saturdays is something we're very focused on at
the moment as there are LOTS of fine young players with no one their
own age to play against. So if you know someone who is that age and
plays, or would like to, send them in on a Saturday and we'll teach
them how its done!

This weekend we're having a Clix festival! The amazingly cool Neil &
Coz Moreton are looking after the castle and the thing they do best
is Clix events, so they're on! A sealed and a constructed event,

POKEMON TRADING CARD GAME
11 players crusied in Sunday to gather the prizes and have fun
playing Pokemon, and Mistress of Lerve Vickey showered them with
Poke prizes! Pokemon League is on again this Sunday from noon till
3.30pm. Entry is just $5 with fun times and everyone winning a
prize.And the new Pokemon box set showcase arrived today. It
contains 3 boosters, a POP booster and a Taros promo card for just
$20.
STAR WARS TRADEABLE CARD GAME
Last Saturday saw our first Star Wars TCG in quite a while and it
was The Dark Lord Lindsay Heming who stamped is iron fist of tyranny
over the tournament, going 3-0 to win and increase his lead on the
WOTC standings as the highest rated Star Wars TCG player in the
WORLD! Fine work Lindsay! Sexy Coz came in second and Teh Android
Adam Buckley finished third. Since we had a solid, fun loving group
of 8 players al;ong for this event we're going to make it a once a
month thang, next event will be Saturday 24th March at 2pm, $5 entry
with boosters, and fun, up as prizes.
STAR TREK 2ND EDITION COLLECTABLE CARD GAME
The best game of the galaxy has a big Sunday ahead of it as its a
win a box tournament! New players have joined the game, and some
Brisbane players have migrated south for winter, so it would seem a
solid turn out is on the cards! Details as follows:

Trek rocks. It is my favourite game. The gameplay is like 3 or 4
episodes rolled into 1, and the cards look awesome. But the bottom
line is, its HEAPS of fun, brilliantly balanced and a fun group of

NARUTO TRADEABLE CARD GAME
Great work from Farnco Loy last Saturday for winning our weekly
Naruto tournament. Naruto is on this Saturday at 2pm. Entry is just
$6 and everyone wins a prize.
If you'd like a demo of Naruto cruise in on Saturday around 1pm and
we'll give you a demo!
DREAMBLADE TRADEABLE MINIATURES GAME
Thanks to mega guru Shane Brierly who was our Dreamblade Demoer
extraordinairre on Saturday for taking this uber tops game to LOTS
of new players. Shane worked hard all arvo showing people the
delights of Dreamblade, and as a result we ran out of starters!

It kicks off at 6.30pm, entry is just $5 with promo figures and
