Hi Acrobats,

It was a MEGA weekend of game playing last weekend! At The Bowlers
Club of NSW, Lidcombe Catholic Club and The Imperial Centre Gosford
Field Commander Foggo has his arms waving like windmills running the
mega pre-release of the new MTG expansion Planar Chaos, where over
300 players fronted up to sample the HOT new set. At SGC 86 duelists
arrived ready to fight for the Nationals Invite in the Yugioh
Regionals, and 42 players arrived with medals on their minds to play
for the Sydney City Championships. This was a HUGE weekend of
shuffling and heaps of fun was had by all. However, it would not
have been possible without the the fine efforts of Marc Losper and
Andrew Li(YGO), Lindsay Heming and Ryan Dare(MTG)and Mistress of
Lerve Vickey and Cameron Rowe(Pokemon).

The action kicks off TONIGHT for this weekends festivities, details
as follows:

DREAMBLADE COLLECTABLE MINIAUTES GAME

The third expansions for WOTC brilliant miniatures game Dreamblade
is being Sneak Peeked at SGC tonight! Chrysotic Plague is a fine new
set with even better looking figures, cool new mechanics and more
prize support than you can poke a stick at. In fact, tonights Sneak
Peek has 4(FOUR!!!)alternate paint job Scarab Warcharms up for
prizes!!!These things are going for around $70US on ebay at the
moment, but more importantly they look cool and go great in pretty
much any warband. The top 2 players win 1 each, then we're giving 2
out randomly, so no matter where you finish you could win one!!!

Prizes: Cracked boosters plus the 4 Scarab Warcharms up as prizes,
plus a fun night of playing Dreamblade!

Dreamblade is a fun game. WOTC have done a good job in making a fun,
easy to learn minis game with VERY solid prize support backing it
up. If you'd like to learn cruise in anytime, but tonight is an
ideal time as you can learn from some of the best players in Sydney,
have fun, start a collection and maybe win one of the hottest pieces
in the game.

MAGIC THE GATHERING COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

WOW! Last weekend was NUTS! Over 350m people in 3 locations checking
out the new set, and pretty much loved everything they saw. So this
weekend the good times keep coming with our Planar Chaos Sneak
Peek! Details as follows:

When: Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January, 11am rego both days.
What: Planar Chaos Sealed. You'll get one TimeSpiral starter and
three Planar Chaos boosters to build your best possible deck with.
Entry: $35
Prizes: Everyone wins at least one booster and a special Sneak Peek
promo card!

This will be a fine event with players getting a chance to see and
play with the new expansion a week before it goes on sale!

For all the young MTG players out there, starting February 3rd we're
hosting S.A.T's at SGC(Saturday afternoon Tournaments)! These are
designed for younger players to practice their skills against
players their own age, win prizes and have fun doing it! Details as
follows:

When: Every Saturday, 2pm rego, 2:30 start!
What: 4 unsanctioned rounds of Standard Type 2. We will help you get
your deck up to Type 2 standards and walk you through your first few
rounds if you need the help.
Entry: $6
Prizes: Everyone wins at least a booster's worth of cards, and
you'll draft rares.

And don't forget each Tuesday and Thursday we draft MTG at around
6pm for the CRAZY price of just $12!!!! Friday Night Magic is on
each Friday night at 6.30pm(constructed-$6 entry)and there is always
a Sunday event at 11am(Sneaks this Sunday)

The next pro tour qualifier is on Sunday 25th February. Its extended
for PT Yokohama and I'm going to win!

MTG rocks. We're hosting learn to play days in March(when Obiwan
returns from a much needed holiday)and is the oldest, most respected

VS(Marvel & DC)COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

Tomorrow is the day the Inmates have been waiting for. Its the 3rd
Annual Australia Day Cup and Arkham is ready to CRUSH all comers in
the longest running non-premier tournament VS has. Past winners
include world famous hair stylist Alex Antonies and long time ccg
player Steve Edmed. the format is Golden Age, it will be fun,
details as follows:

When: Friday 26 January. 12 noon rego, 12:30 start. Remember, Friday
is a public holiday!
Format: Golden Age (best of 3 top 8 play-off)
Entry: $12
Prizes: Winner receives a box of Legions of Superheros, a box of Web
of Spiderman and a box of Heralds of Galactus! Boosters to top 8 at
least, plus if the person coming 9th can beat my Arkham deck in a
best of 3 play-off they win 2 flights into the Marvel Team Up Sneak
Preview FREE! Top 16 and under player will win 12 packs of his or
her choice!

On Saturday afternoon we're running a VS learn to play day
culminating in a $20 sealed tournament where the winner takes home a
JLA or Avengers(their choice)deck tin set. And on Sunday we're
playing a fun non sanctioned tournament that only includes the most
popular teams. Come and play VS the way it should be played, with

Flight! Boosters, old EA's and a bit of good old time biffo from a
time once past and fondly remembered

VS ROCKS!!! The pro circuit is coming to Sydney March 1-4 with 250K
US up as prizes, plus an UBER line up of side events for VS, YGO and
WOW. It is a fine game of play and deckbuilding skills and the guys
who play are all cool and friendly. We have a fine range of singles
and sell some boosters from as low as $2, and have pre-made decks of
favourite teams for $10. Its fun and easy to get into, once you try
you'll like it, drop in Saturday for a demo.

NARUTO COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

New player Nathan bashed everyone with his ninja skills to win last
Saturdays Naruto tournament. Good job Nathan! Everyone had fun and
won prizes.

This Satutday our weekly tournament is on again, details as follows:

When: Every Saturday 2pm rego, 2:30 start.
What: Constructed Format
Entry: $6
Prizes: Naruto boosters!

The Naruto sanctioning kicks in in February so you can follow your
progress through the weeks and see how you shape up against the rest
of the players in your area. Its fun, easy to play and with the
second expansion Coils of the Snake making a good game even better
nows a great time to pop in and check it out

YUGIOH COLLECTABLE CARDE GAME

Well, if you're a YGO player and you weren't at SGC last weekend you
were definantly in the wrong place! Saturday our open Hobby League
event saw Andy Luong bash 21 other players to win the boosters, and
our 13 and under event was won jointly by Mark Barbaro(who has been
bounced up to opens next week)and Edmund Dena. Great work guys!

Then on Sunday a near record 86 players came to play for the ever
elusive Nationals invite. After cutting to top 43 after 3 rounds, a
further 4 rounds sorted out the cream of the crop and in the top 8
Reza Azimzedah and Sam Harrison split in the final(both already had
invites)leaving the door open for semi finalist Scott Beattie to
claim the Nats slot! Well done guys!

This weekend its business as usual with our weekly hobby league.
Rego is at 9.30am for a 10am start, entry is just $5 with boosters,
random cards and a fun day up as prizes

The next Regionals will be an 8 slot qualifier! Its on February 18th
at 10am with the top 8 not only winning Nationals invites, they also
win YGO playmats! And the new expansion is being Sneak Previewed in
February so plenty of YGO goodness coming up!

WORLD OD WARCRAFT COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

Don't forget our weekly Tuesday and Thursday draft nights from 6pm
are going strong, and our Saturday afternoon WOW Hobby League,
complete with Hobby League promos, is on each Saturday arvo from
1.30pm.
