Hey Jedi Mind Trickers,The stint in the Redfern clothes donation bin Field Commander Foggo had the weekend(and few days after)our birthday seems to have had a negative impact on his judgement. Obiwan said recently in a discussion on music "there are some bad songs I like". Amen brother Foggo!
Foggo has also become a disciple of the hip(???)new dance craze that is sweeping across the US-Crumping. It is a hip-hop variant which has some vogue-ing style attribute and its participants wear clown make-up whilst breaking moves with their crew. FCF thought it was what you do when you don’t iron your shirt in the morning.

Both trials are at SGC. It will be heaps of fun as the Rav block sealed format is SOOOO good its not funny. Very balanced, lots of room for creative deck ideas and heaps of fun. Plus they’ll be OOODDDLLLEESSSSS of boosters up as prizes! Then the next week we’re hitting the Legacy format head on!

VS(Marvel & DC)TCG: The wait is NEARLY over. This weekend at SGC it’s the Sneak Preview of Heralds of Galactus! This is the latest Marvel expansion and sees a variety of game mechanics, both old and new, bought into the game. This weekend will be awesome, details as follows:

Also, the Melbourne 10K has been pushed back a few weeks to allow for HoG to become tournament legal, so this is a great way to get LOTS of the new set in a fun, inexpensive way!!!
We'll be taking pre-registration for HoG in as of NOW, which means for every flight you pre-register and pay for you get an addition HoG booster as prize on the day-AWESOME!
HoG Sneak Preview also marks the start of our 2006-2007 Player of the Year Championship. Once a month we’ll have a POTY tournament where players compete in a variety of different VS formats and accumulate points based on their finishes. At the end of the year the top 8 players on the standings table will play off for the title of SGC player of the year as well as the airfare to a 10K in Australia! And this weekend, because there is 4 flights, that’s starting the championships with 4 lots of points! Good times!
The Sneak Previews also give new players the absolutely ideal way to ease themselves into the game as they get to play and win LOTS of cards in a tournament environment that is both friendly and fun. SO if you’re thinking of trying VS this weekend is the absolute BEST time to cruise in for a demo!
Also, each Saturday arvo is Silver Age Saturday! It’s a Silver Age tournament that kicks off at 1.30pm. Entry is just $6, its UDE sanctioned with boosters and promo foils up as prizes. And don’t forget Hobby League each Friday night at 7pm!
STAR TREK 2ND EDITION CCG: GREAT NEWS!!! The latest expansion, To Boldly Go, has arrived at SGC!!! I have not been able to resist the urge so I have bought 2 boxes myself and it is fabbo! We’re running a sealed tournament September 3rd to release the new set, details as follows:

And for those like me who think too much Trek is barely enough, we’re running a Trek tournament each Sunday around 1.30pm! There is around 6 guys who want to play each week and there’s plenty of room here so we’re running sanction Trek events starting now. The Sunday tournaments will contribute to the Australian sprint series starting 1st September, and the winning state will win a box of Reflections 2.0! So if you want to play Trek, or even learn this awesome TCG, cruise in on a Sunday arvo for a game!

YUGIOH! Last Sunday the first of this seasons Winter Regionals kicked off with a bang and it was sealed city! 35 players turned up to duel their way into the 2007 National Championships and at the end of the day the really cool Chad Manalo went something like 8-0 to win! Great work Chad! Next Winter Regionals is September 24th and format is Advanced Constructed!
This Saturday our regular Yugioh Hobby League is on from 9.30am-1pm. Its just $5, UDE sanctioned and everyone wins a prize!

WORLD OF WARCRAFT TCG: For those cyber junkies who cannot get enough of 32nd level elves UDE, the makers of the best selling TCG’s Yugioh and VS are releasing the much anticipated WOW TCG! It goes onsale at Supanova October 27-29th but Chris Zandides is coming in Friday night to demo this exciting new game at SGC to all those who are interested. The cards look great, and the game mechanics are very easy for ccg players to pick up. It will be an enormous game globally with the release at Gencon Indy breaking all expectations and records. If you’d like to see this game in action, Friday night is the time to get a sneak preview of it!
DREAMBLADE: The latest minis game from WOTC is Dreamblade and its on sale NOW!!! Starting August 31st(ie NEXT THURSDAY!)we’re running FREE Dreamblade toutnaments each Thursday night from 6.30pm. it will be DCI sanctioned and go towards collecting points players can use to cash in for event entry at 1K tournaments! Starters are just $39, boosters just $20 and the figures look awesome! If you’d like a demo cruise in and speak to us, we’d be happy to show you how to play!
