Hi High Flyers!

Another full week of games goodness coming at you this weekend, but
the best news is the crowd favourite, Obiwan Foggobi and his
Mistress of Lerve Vickey are coming home! They are due in today and
should be back on deck tomorrow, so pop in, say hi, and find out how
their big adventure was!

Oodles happening this week, details as follows:

YUGIOH COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

This weekend sees 4 BIG flights of dueling madness as UDE release
their new expansion for the biggest selling ccg in the world,
Yugioh! Its called Strike of Neos, and the event goes something like
this:

STRIKE OF NEOS SNEAK PREVIEW

When: Saturday & Sunday 24th & 25th February. 10am rego 10.30am
start morning flights, 2pm rego 2.30pm start afternoon flight
Format: SON sealed
Entry: $30 per flight
Prizes: Heaps of boosters up as prizes, plus everyone wins a promo
card from the new set, plus you have a fun time playing with the new
expansion at least 1 week before it goes on sale!!!

Anyone playing all 4 flights wins a YGO T-Shirt plus 8 boosters of
the new expansion!

This will be a fun weekend people, don't miss out!

Next Regionals will be an 8 slot qualifier March 25th at SGC. And
don't forget our weekly Saturday morning Hobby League at 9.30am each
Saturday!

MAGIC THE GATHERING COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

Ash Cartwright belted everyone last Sunday in our Player of the Year
event, then ran into a rampaging Craig Giblett in the final.
Luckily, both are friends so decided to split the $100 first prize,
with Ash the Cash taking the win. This was the perfect warm up for
Ash and Craig for this weekends Pto Tour Qualifier Yokohama! Details
as follows:

QUALIFIER FOR PRO TOUR YOKOHAMA!

WHEN: Sunday 25th February. 10am rego, 10.30am start
WHERE: The Burwood Club
Corner George St & Burwood Rd
Burwood (50 metres from train station)
FORMAT: Extended Constructed
ENTRY: $20
PRIZES: Winner receives either a return ticket to Pro Tour Yokohama
or $375US(winners choice). HEAPS of boosters to top 16 at least,
plus 2 boxes worth of boosters for top 4 amatuers. Extended is HEAPS
of fun, prizes are many, come and play for a chance of Pro Tour
Glory!

I'm going to be there, Astral Sliding my way to Japan, but I'm
always interested to see who will come second. The man I'm most
afraid of facing in the finals? The Mighty Allan Sharpe.

We then kick into PT San Diego territory and the format for that is
2 headed ginat sealed. To warm up we're throwing an 2HG event March
11th! Details as follows:

2 HEADED GIANT TYPE 2 SEALED!

WHEN: Sunday 11th March. 11am rego, 11.30am start
FORMAT: 2 player, Sealed Two Headed Giant
ENTRY: $30 per player ($60 per team)
PRIZES: HEAPS of PLANAR CHAOS boosters as prizes, plus a fun day of
playing funky sealed 2 headed giant with a friend. If you don’t have
a partner, cruise in anyway and we’ll try to find you one!

Magic rocks. Its fun, easy, has a MEGA player base of all levels and
has a well structured organised play system. If you'd like a game
cruise in anytime, and don't forget our drafts 6pm Tuesdays and
Thursdays for just $12!

VS(Marvel & DC)TRADEABLE CARD GAME

Well done Troy "Louis" Armstrong for winning the first of our PC
warm up events. Troy won a variety of promo cards and a much sort
after VS playmat as his prize, and he got all this with FREE ENTRY!
Our second warm up event is on this Sunday, details as follows:

When: Sunday 18th and Sunday 25th February. Noon start for Silver
Age, 4pm start for LOS draft
Format: Silver Age at noon, LOS draft at around 4pm
Entry: FREE for SA, $15 for LOS draft, or BYO packs
Prizes: Winner for constructed will win a MTU playmat!!!Couple of
EA's for the top 4, rare picks for draft

We also have some kicking SA decks at the store if you'd like to
borrow them and run your deck through a gauntlet. Avengers,
Brotherhood, Good Guys, Villians United/Arkham being the gauntlet.
Playing a VS constructed then switching to a draft will hopefully
get peoples heads into the PC format switching zone.

Then March 1-4 IS THE PRO CIRCUIT SYDNEY!!! This will be a MEGA
celebration of VS, and has HEAPS of side events for VS, YGO and
World of Warcraft as well. Too many events to list here, for more

DREAMBLADE COLLECTABLE MINIATURES GAME

Fine work from Shane Brierely who went 3-0 to bash everyone in
Tuesday nights Egde tournament, including yours truly :(. Eugine
Chin came in second and Matt Newlands third. The good news is that
Shane is running a learn to play afternoon this Saturday from
1.30pm! Details as follows:

When: Saturday Arvo from 1.30pm
Format: 8 unit teams
Entry: FREE
Prizes: Nothing, though if yoy take the demo you get to keep the 8
figures you learn to play with!

Dreamblade is a fun game and WOTC have put a LOT of $$$ into
organised play. SGC runs a Edge tournament each Tuesday night for
just $5 so you can always get a game. Its easy, fun and worth having
a go, so cruise in and try it!

STAR WARS TRADEABLE CARD GAME

One of our all time favourite games is back at SGC this Saturday
afternoon by popular demand. Star Wars TCG was an SGC favourite for
several years, then it was stopped being printed. BUT WE DON"T CARE!
We like it so much we've sanctioned a tournament and we're taking a
run up at it. Details as follows:

When: Saturday arco at 2pm
Format: Standard Constructed
ENtry: $5
Prizes: HEAPS of boosters up as prizes, plus a fun arvo of making
laser beam noises with a bunch of cool people.

NARUTO TRADEABLE CARD GAME

Great work from YGO super judge Andrew Li who backed up his win a
box win with another emphaticdisplay last Saturday, beating
perpectual runner up Kenny Le Bon into second.

Naruto, and that funkiness that it is, is on again this Saturday
from 2pm. Entry is just $6 with everyone winning a prize.

We have LOTS of new things in stock this week=a refill of D&D books,
plus the base game. A new boardgame-Dungeon Twister, is also in, as
is restocks on deck boxes and folders.

Thats about it this week. LOTS happening, more next week as well
with the VS pro circuit
