HHey Baddie Catchers!

Something funky is coming! Field Commander Foggo, Kieren the Klingon
and superstar Tony Chung have all decided to avail ourselves to the
worthy cause known as Movember! Thats right, the three of us will be
growing the handle bars in the name of charity, and you guys can
help! Anyone who'd like to sponsor one or all of us please come in
and put some money in the jar(preferably Kieren's!). We're having an
internal competition to see

a)who can raise the most money and
b)who can grow the best Mo!

This will be funny, EB and the Klingon will be playing a variety of
tournaments against each other throughout Movember to also raise
money and awareness. Weekly Mo measurements will be posted, as well
as money raised. This will be fun!

MAGIC THE GATHERING TRADEABLE CARD GAME

This Sunday is the day astute players and deckbuilders look forward
to each year-its the 2007 NSW State Championships! The new format is
in and lots of surprises are expected, the first prize is awesome
and the day itself is a fun day of MTG playing. Details as follows:

2007 NSW STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Where: Bondi Junction-Waverly RSL.
5 Grey St, Bondi
When: Sunday October 27th. 10am registration, 10.30am start(don't
forget daylight savings guys!)
Format: Type 2 constructed
Entry: $20
Prizes: Winner gets free entry into NSW Premier events(including pre-
releases!)for 12 months! Heaps of boosters, plus participation promo
cards, up as prizes, plus a fun day of playing MTG!

Don't worry about having a hot deck as currently nobody does! The
format is new so everything is good! Everyone will win a booster
just for playing, so come along and try your luck!

The following Sunday its a fun tournament, its Ravnica Block sealed
Iron Man! Details as follows:

When: Sunday 4 November. 11 am rego.
Format: Ravnica Block Sealed Iron Man and Free Dollar Booster
Drafts. Open 5 boosters from the Ravnica Block and build your best
40 card deck. You can 'protect' 3 Rares, but everything else gets
destroyed when it would go to the graveyard. If you lose, you pass
your remaining cards on to your opponent (except for your 3
protected rares) , and then you can pass the time by playing in a
free $1 booster draft!
Cost: $20
Prizes: Winner of the Iron Man tournament gets all the remaining
cards, second gets 3 Lorwyn boosters, 3rd gets 2 Lorwyn boosters,
4th gets 1 Lorwyn booster, and everyone else gets to $1 booster
draft for free and a chance to win an MTG banner!
This is going to be wicked fun!

Then November 11th its a $200 cash type 2 tournament! The metagame
will be a little more settled after States, so use your knowledge to
build a deck to beat the field and win $200 cash! Details as follows:

$200 TYPE 2 TOURNAMENT

When: Sunday 11 November. 11:05 am rego. (It's Rememberance Day and
there will be a 1 minute silence at 11am).
Format: Type 2
Cost: $20
Prizes: $200 to first and some boosters for everyone else, plus
Arena League Foils.

And don't forget we have amazing $12 drafts each Thursday from 5pm
onwards, Friday Night Magic each Friday night at 6.30pm(type 2 $6),
S.A.T 14 and under Magic 2pm Saturday, constructed for $6 and $2
tournaments Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays during the school
holidays.

MTG rocks. We have a thumping range of singles, theme decks and
boosters, plus both Kieren and Chris have played the game at high
levels and can give you play and deckbuilding tips. The game has a
zillion levels of support from WOTC and has been around for around
12 years, mainly because its just a great game. If you'd like a demo
cruise in and we'll be happy to show you how its done.

YUGION TRADEABLE CARD GAME

Last Saturday Daniel Brancalion went 4-0 to win our Saturday Hobby
League for the open division, whilst Shaun Price and Frank Xia both
went 4-1 to win the 13 and unders. Then on Sunday Australian
Champion Egon Cardenes beat Tasmania Weigang in the final of our
Pharaohs Tour Qualifier to earn himself a spot in the main game next
January. Great work Egan!

Our Hobby League is on tomorrow from 10am. Its just $5 to play. its
advanced constructed and everyone wins a prize. Then Saturday
afternoon we're playing 2 player teams, and we're using the new UDE
teams rules! Its just $5 per person to play, it will be one of the
first sanctioned UDE team events in AU, its heaps of fun with lots
of boosters up as prizes. then November 4th we're hosting the
release tournament of the new YGO expansion Gladiators Assault!
Details as follows:

GLADIATORS ASSAULT RELEASE TOURNAMENT

When: Sunday 4th November. Morning session 10.30am, afternoon
session at 2.30pm
Format: Glatiators Assault sealed(you get 5 boosters of GA to crack
and make a 20 card minimum deck with)
Entry: $35
Prizes: Top 20 get a release card! Boosters from a variety of sets,
including GA, are up as prizes plus a fun day of playing YGO with
the new expansion a week before it goes on sale!

We are limited to just 48 players(24 per session)for this release,
so if you'd like to play cruise in and register asap to guarantee
your spot. The good news is, if you miss out on the pre-release,
we're running a chaos sealed tournament for all those who just wanna
play sealed YGO. Details as follows:

When: Sunday 4th November. 10.30am rego, 11am start morning, then
2.30pm rego 3pm start for arvo session
Format: Chaos sealed(you choose whatever 5 boosters you wanna crack
and make a 20 card minimum deck with!)
Entry: $35
Prizes: Boosters and YGO t-shirts up as prizes, plus a fun day of
playing YGO in a zany format. Plus the fun of cracking packs!

Our next Pharoahs Tour Qualifier is November 25th, details as
follows:

When: Sunday 25 November. 10am rego, 10:30 start.
What: Advanced Constructed. Bring your deck and play!
Entry: $15
Prizes: Everyone wins at least a booster and a full box goes to
first. First place qualifies for the Pharaoh Tour and everyone wins
a special PTQ promo card!

Yugioh is massive. Its a fun game with a huge player base and we
have weekly tournaments so you'll always find a game. We have heaps
of singles and boosters available, as well as the latest structure
decks(Rise of the Dragon Lords is IN!). If you'd like a game cruise
in on a Saturday, there is always a big group of duelists willing to
play and show you how its done!

WORLD OF WARCRAFT TRADEABLE CARD GAME

WOW TCG is still going strong at SGC and we have a release
tournament coming up! And just to be different, we're making it a
DRAFT release! Details as follows:

When: Sunday Nov 18th. 11.30am rego, Noon start
Cost: $35
Format: 2 booster drafts!!!
Places: Limited to 40 people only, pre-register to secure your spot.

Keep what you draft, everyone wins promos and boosters! T-shirts to
give out as well! With the new set we have 19 card boosters,
designed for drafting, so we're going to do it!

You get 2 booster drafts for your entry fee! Plus you are guaranteed
to win some boosters, more if you do well.

Don't forget we play WOW Hobby League each Saturday afternoon at 2pm
for just $6 with boosters and promos up as prizes. And we draft each
Thursday night from around 6pm, so come in and draft up a storm!

We also got funky new deck boxes in that look awesome, cruise in and
check them out!

THE SPOILS TRADEABLE CARD GAME

The sexiest new TCG is nearly 2 weeks old in AU and already lots of
people have started playing and loving it. This Saturday we're
running what will probably be the first sanctioned The Spoils
tournament in the country, a booster draft! Details as follows:

When: Saturday 27th October. 2pm rego, 2.30pm start
Format: Draft
Entry: $15
Prizes: Rare picks, plus promos, up as prizes, plus HEAPS of fun
playing the hot new TCG! As soon as we get 8 people we'll start, and
we'll keep drafting until we can't draft any more!

And if you have a deck bring that in as well, there will be people
just hanging out and playing casually.

On December 1 and 2 we have a HUGE weekend of The Spoils, with a
Nintendo Wii and $500 up as prizes! Details as follows:

THE SPOILS WIN A WII TOURNAMENT

When: Saturday 1st December. 10.30am rego, 11am start
Format: Sealed(you get a tournament pack and 2 boosters to crack and
make a 45 card minimum deck with)
Entry: $40
Prizes: Winner gets a Nintendo Wii! Top 8 draft on Sunday at 11am to
find out who is the champ! Boosters and a fun day of playing The
Spoils sealed up as prizes.

Then on the Sunday for all those who don't make top 8 we're running
a $500 constructed tournament! Details as follows:

When: Sunday 2nd December. 11.30am rego, Noon start
Format: Constructed
Entry: $20
Prizes: Winner takes home $250!!! Runner up $150, 3rd and 4th $50
each! plus heaps of boosters up as prizes for the rest of the field.

This game is awesome. There is similar events scheduled in December
in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. The cards look great and have
funny flavour text, the prize support is awesome but more
importantly the game is FUN! You can't get mana screwed and you can
nearly always draw a card or play a resourse if you choose. This
looks like it will be the next big thing and the world championships
for this game is a $400,000 prize pool on a boat sailing around the
Caribbean!

HEROCLIX COLLECTABLE MINIATURES GAME

Last Sunday was the final Starro promo event and Andrew Gallagher
took out the series with 5 strong, consistant performances. Well
done Andrew! Foggo has gone berserk this week and dreamt up some
crazy format form the coming month, this Sundays event is as follows:

Sunday 28 October: 500 points and 250 of those points need to be
from one figure. Entry: Usually $5 unless otherwise specified.
Prizes: Win Limited Edition figures and crack boosters

We kick off play at 2pm each Sunday and the guys who play are always

MECHWARRIOR COLLECTABLE MINIATURES GAME

Great news, our mech order finally came in, so not only do we have
Wolfstrike back in stock, we also have the new Undead Lancers box in
as well! We have a regualr group of around 8 players who come in
each Sunday around 3pm. Entry is just $5 for LE's and cracked
boosters up as prizes, plus a fun arvo of playing Mech!

POKEMON COLLECTABLE CARD GAME

Last week we had 19 players collecting prizes and having a blast
playing Pokemon in our weekly league. Vickey was flat out keeping
scores, giving out prizes and generally making sure everyone was
having fun, and she loved every minute of it! Pokemon is on again
this Sunday from noon till about 3.30pm. Its just $6 to play, heaps
of fun and everyone wins a prize.

Then on November 24th we're kicking off our new Elite beats program!
An idea from Vickey, it involves 3 sanctioned Pokemon tournaments
over Nov-Jan that give players accumulative points to work out who
is our Pokemon Elite beater! For more details check out

STAR TREK 2ND EDITION TRADEABLE CARD GAME

Last Sunday 10 players dropped out of warp to play in a win a set of
Reflections 2.0 and after 4 fun rounds of mapping nebulas State
Champion Mitchell Trent went 4-0 to take...the cool Trek t-shirt!
Shannon came in second and gleefully took the set of 2.0 and new
player April, in her second ever tournament, went 3-1 to finish 3rd.
Great work guys!

Our next Sunday tournament is November 4th, and its win a set of
Captains Log! Details as follows:

When: Sunday November 4th. 12.30pm rego, 1pm start
Format: Constructed
Entry: $10
Prizes: Heaps of boosters plus a set of Reflections 2.0 to be won!!!

As usual, this will be a fun day of Trek, and everyone will win

STAR WARS COLLECTABLE MINIATURES GAME

This Saturday its our crazy special Star Wars Miniatures day were
we're having a cheap sealed tournament and giving away crazy amounts
of prizes! Details as follows:

When: Saturday 27th October. 1.30pm rego, 2pm start
Format: Clone Strike sealed(you get 2 boosters of CS to crack and
make a 100pt team with)
Entry: Just $20 for 2 boosters!
Prizes: Winner gets 3 boosters, runner up 2 boosters, and everyone
else wins a booster just for playing! Plus its DCI sanctioned so you
can see how your skills stack up against the rest of the galaxy!

We also play for free each Tuesday night from around 6.30pm. Its DCI
sanctioned and heaps of fun, so if you like Star Wars, cruise in and
enjoy the Star Wars minis game!

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ROLEPLAYING

It's getting closer! Worldwide D&D day is on Saturday November 3 at
2pm. Its gonna be a crazy good day of D&D playing, and we still need
3 DM's to help run things just to be sure. Its gonna cost just $5 to
play for the arvo and WOTC have sent us HEAPS of stuff, so people
will get figures and dice at the end of the day. It will be an
absolutely fun afternoon of D&D, and over the last 2 years regular
D&D groups have formed from this event. So if you'd like to play,
meet new people and maybe get something regular happening in your
roleplaying campaign, come in November 3rd and have fun!

NARUTO TRADEABLE CARD GAME

Our weekly Saturday tournament is on again this Saturday from 2pm.
Its constructed, costs just $6 to play and everyone wins a prize. We
have LOTS of boosters and singles for this fine TCG, and we just got
more first set starters in, as well as second set boosters.

Naruto is a fun game. The anime is great as as a result attarcts
lots of players. If you'd like a demo cruise in on a Saturday and
we'll show you how its done!

NEW IN STORE: HEAPS this week. D&D players will rejoice as we have
the gridded battle maps finally in stock, as well as the new mag
Pathfinder. The amazing new PS3/TCG crossover game Eye if
Destruction is coming in on Tuesday, and we've already fielded
638729 calls about it. Theme decks will be $18, boosters just $5 and
a box of boosters will be only $150! For MTG players Lorwyn fat
Packs are FINALLY here, we have done a little dance that they were
only 2 weeks late. And The Spoils TCG is still new enough to rate a
mention here, we'll have some more pre-con decks early next week.
Plus we have the new Pirates of the Caribbean boosters in stock as
well.
