Kieren was over at GenCon doing us proud, he played in the Star Trek World Championships, in the VS Pro Circuit and in many of the associated games smorgasbords on offer when you have 4 days of 24hr gaming at your disposal. I'm also getting random text messages from Vegas, the next destination on the Honest Otto Pro Tour . Word is he won a few big Poker Tournaments and been racing Rascals down the main strip of Vegas in the style of 2 Fast 2 Furious. For those who aren't aware, Rascals are the motorized seats that the old and infirm use to ride around in, with the little flags and the flower baskets on the front! Kieren's has been souped up of course, thanks to West Coast Custom, and he led 3 cop cars on a huge chase, till he was able to quickly turn into the 24hr Elvis Wedding Chapel and hide unobserved amongst the Patrons there!

This weekend in at the SGC!

YGO Our regular Huge Saturday Ygo is on again this weekend! When: Sat 25th August Time: 9.30am â€" 1pm Cost: $5 and everyone wins a prize, good practice for the next days event! First of the Winter Regionals Sunday 26th August Time: 10am -4pm Cost: $15 Winner gets a box of Tactical Evolution and an invite to the 2008 YGO Nats. There will be a top 8 playoff to determine the winner. Every single player wins a booster!

MAGIC PTQ Valencia Format: Timespiral Block Constructed When: Sunday 26th August Where: Burwood RSL, (the big club) Time: 10am rego Cost: $20 It's a PTQ, so the winner gets airfare paid to Spain for the Pro Tour! Every single player will win a booster. We also have 2 boxes to give out to Amateur players, so come along and have a great day of Magic!!!

SAT 25th August 14's and Under Tournament Every Sat 2pm 4.30pm $6 Every player wins a prize, we often finish the event with a fun multiplayer event! If you know of any new players or friends who want to get better, this is like our training academy, its fun and you will get better!

WOW We are running a SEALED Fires of Outland Tournament this Saturday at 2pm. Cost: $35 You get: 6 boosters to build a deck. Prizes include Fires boosters and some EA cards! Don't forget the Last Chance Qualifier for Australian Nationals! When: Friday 7th What: Sealed at 11.30 $35 Constructed at 5.30pm $15 The top 8 from each event go through to play the next 2 days. Prizes for WoW Nats are huge! 2 airfares to Worlds plus heaps more!

HEROCLIX The Galactus event was very Successful, its back to winning great prizes every week! Format for this week is 200pt teams. We hope to be able to get a few extra rounds in, so more gaming for you! New prize support came in!

HORRORCLIX Its on again this Friday, Tony has many mutated beasts to surprise you with this week. He's definitely been taking on more of that Mad Evil Genius Scientist look the more weeks he plays this fun game. We have a really dynamic and enthusiastic group of Horror Clix players and you are welcome to come and watch. Horrorclix News: WizKids has secured the rights to New Line Cinema Characters for its HorrorClix Game. This means, Freddie Vs Jason, Pirates of the Carribean and other really exciting things to come. New prize support came in!

MECHWARRIOR Every Sunday! $5 12 noon! The numbers are growing and there is great excitement about the new Solaris Kits! Also new prize support came in!

NARUTO Our regular event is on again this Sat with a twist!!! You can only use commons and uncommons! No Rares or above! This is a chance to introduce new players who are worried they don’t have all the expensive cards and combos’ give it a go and see if we should do it again! Cost: $6 Time: 1.45 rego, 2pm Start Prizes to everybody! Naruto News: Naruto Nationals have been confirmed to be at Armageddon in Melb, Oct 13 and 14th. It will be using only the first 2 sets, exact format details haven’t been announced. Sept Format: We will be running Set 1 and 2 only tournaments in the First 2 weekends of Sept for people to practice for Nats. If you players hate this idea, let me know and I will change this!

STAR TREK We play every Sunday! Kieren’s away but we still want to go where no one has gone beforeâ€|..again! L5R We have got the level 2 stronghold goodie kits in! Dates for future gaming nights, Every Second Friday! August 31, Sept 14 and Sept 28 Help build up the store so we can get to a storyline tournament! Its definitely within reach, AEG is making a big effort to get the game active again, if you know some players who left, get them back!!! And let them know that great things are happening!

POKEMON LEAGUE Vickeys Back handing out the Fun and Prizes! We’ve found lots of very random prizes while cleaning out the shop and will be giving these out this Sunday! When: Every Sunday 12.30pm â€" 3.30pm Cost: $6 We have plenty of new players coming every week now, bring your Nintendo DS to play as well as your Pokemon Trades!
