NEWSLETTER - 03/08/2007
Hey Acrobatic Dishwashers,
What a mega week that was! Field Commander Foggo and Vivacious
Vickey are moving into a new love pad in Auburn next week and are
busy packing. The great pain to pack...Field Commanders Dead Card
collection!!! 500, 000 cards in total, taking 2 weeks and an earth
mover to shift. And Obiwan even had an offer for his cards that he
knocked back! Boardman developments, an apartment building company
who Foggo hired the earth mover from, offered $125 for his entire
dead cardgame collection, as they wanted it for landfill. A pleased
Obiwan said "$125, that represents a 43% increase in value over the
last 4 years, but I'm holding out for $150!" A representative from
Boardman Developments didn't return any of our calls, and none of
Field Commanders either...

STAR TREK SECOND EDITION CCG
Last Sunday we ran a fantastic Trek tournament that had everyone
laughing and having a fun time. After the dust settled Dennis Lee
and his Klingons stood tall over their expanded empire to take
first, State Champion Mitchell Trent and his assimilating Borgie
nasties came second and sealed deck guru Shannon Mullane and her
gang of Kirk, Spock and McCoy from the Original Series finished
third. We raise around $70 with this event which we are donating to
the Australian Cancer Council. To all those who came along and
played, and made the day a fun event, many many thanks!
The next scheduled tournament is on August 12th, but people are
coming in this Sunday to play anyway. Also each Tuesday night we
have a casual Trek night from 6pm which is free and has between 4-8
people just hanging, talking and playing Trek. I'm off to World
Championships August 15th so I'm keen to play as much as I can
before then, so if you're up for a game cruise in anytime(thanks
Mike!)
Trek is great. I cannot get enough, the game is growing steadily,
the people who play it are cool, its cheap to get into and more
importantly its HEAPS of fun. Its balanced, well designed and looks
great, if you'd like a game cruise in and ask me anytime, you'll
like it
POKEMON TRADEABLE CARD GAME

play whoever you want and stop whenever you want. It costs just $6

VS(Marvel & DC)TRADEABLE CARD GAME
Another favourite game of ours is cruising at the moment, last night
Scott Smith showed the type of form that took him to number 1 in the
world by winning our weekly booster draft. World Finest, the latest
set based on DC, is rocking at the moment and is the format for day
2 of the Pro Circuit, so anyone wanting to help Troy & myself cruise
into the top 8 come in Thursdays and draft!
The next Sunday tournament is August 12th, details as follows:
When: Sunday August 12th. Noon rego, 12.30pm start
Format: Modern Age

into a draft tournament. We have pre-made decks for just $10 and a
heap of boosters ranging from $2 to $5 each. The game is awesome and
