Hi Cylon Hunters!

Another week, another MILE of games news to get through! So many things happening its tough to keep track of, but we'll give it a go! But before we do, a BIG hello and welcome home to my former house mate, Team Shonk member and great friend Darth Cornford, who returned during the week from a 7 month work project in Calcutta. Dave spent most of his down time playing Magic online and is rumoured to have a teched out pumping deck tuned in for the NSW Regionals in 9 days time. But whatever happens, Darth its great to have you home! And lastly on the HELLO front, its the very gorgeous, very sexy Bronwyn Bruces 26th Birthday again tomorrow. Bronnie, have a good one, and good luck at The Regionals June 3! So, onwards and upwards!

YUGIOH TRADEABLE CARD GAME Its the last Yugioh Regionals for the 2007 Nationals season this Sunday, meaning that if you haven't qualified for the YGO festival that is Nationals June 9 & 10 at Bondi RSL now is the time to crank up! It will be fun, have saturation prizes and a great way to warm up for Nats if you have already qualified! details as follows: When: Sunday May 27th. 10am rego, 10.30am start? Format: Advanced Constructed? Entry: $15? Prizes: Winner gets a BOX of YGO boosters! Top 8 receive HOT playmats and invites to Nationals. Boosters to top 24 at least, plus a HEAP of fun of playing Yugioh!? Its fun, easy, the last 2 expansion Strike of Neos and Force of the Breakers have been AWESOME and the premier events just keep on rolling out. MAGIC THE GATHERING TRADEABLE CARD GAME Last Sunday was the Pro Tour Qualifier for San Diego and it was Irish import Conor Holmes and Sydney local Andrew Bennett who smashed everyone to win a trip to the Pro Tour! Great work guys! A near record 36 teams were on hand,and one team, Last Minute Success, formed when 2 strangers who wanted to play teamed up and made the top 4! A fun day was had by all, and it would be remiss of us not to thank the judges Craig "Genosian" Giblett, The Dark Lord Lindsay Heming, Graham White and of course Obiwan Foggobi for doing a great job under hectic circumstances On the local front Kelvin Ong won one of our regular Thursday night drafts and Shonky Jim Bandas won the other, and The MIGHTY Allan Sharpe won last Friday nights FNM(no real surprises there) This weekend we once again have FNM tonight from 6.30pm, then Sunday we have a Regionals warm up that doubles as our monthly Player of the Year tournament! Details as follows: MAY PLAYER OF THE YEAR TOURNAMENT When: Sunday 27th May. 11am registration, 11.30am start? Format: Type 2? Entry: $10? Prizes: Winner takes home $100 cash plus 10 points in our POTY series. Boosters, PotY points and a FUN day of playing MTG. PLUS! Its the week before the 2007 NSW Regionals, so this is an awesome chance to practice for the BIGGEST state event of the year!? This will be a ton of fun, plus the lure of Nationals, and then the WORLD championships, should bring out a big crowd. The atmosphere will be grand, don't miss out! Magic rocks. The game is cranking at the moment and a fantastic player pool of fun and competitive people all mingle at SGC on a weekly basis. STAR WARS AND DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS MINIATURES GAME The wait is over, the weekend is finally here! This weekend is our MEGA minis weekend and we're excited as it corresponds with the release of the new Star Wars minis expansion Allies and Empire! If you're looking for a warm up event, or you just like playing these games, we run free DCI sanctioned tournaments each Tuesday night. Its fun and thanks to Big Rob Tierney at Wizards we generally have promo figures for all. And to celebrate the release of the new set we're running a sealed tournament next Tuesday 29th May at 6.30pm! ? NARUTO TRADEABLE CARD GAME It was business as usual last Saturday as Rudi Hickman went 3-0 to win last Saturdays Naruto tournament over Nathan and Kenny. He has extended his lead in the May league coming into this weekends double header, including Saturdays double point tournament! Details as follows: NARUTO DOUBLE POINT TOURNAMENT When: Saturday 26th May. 1.30pm rego, 2pm start Format: Constructed Entry: $6 Prizes: Everyone wins a prize, with DOUBLE the points going out to everyone who plays to help bump up their standings on the May league list. And then Sunday, to finish off the league, we're having our monthly win a box tournament and its SEALED! Boosters and a fun day of playing Naruto sealed up as prizes Naruto is a great game. It is going to be the next BIG anime game(its the 4th best selling game in the US as we speak). Vickey is in charge of Organised Play in Australasia so you know the prize support will be awesome. We play weekly on Saturdays at 2pm with prizes and fun, and the people who play would be happy to show you how its done. STAR TREK 2ND EDITION COLLECTABLE CARD GAME My Favourite games are Star Trek and VS, and this weekend we have a festival of both! This Sunday is a great tournament, its win a set of Genesis tournament! Details as follows: STAR TREK 2ND EDITION WIN A SET OF GENESIS TOURNAMENT When: Sunday 27th May. They'll be held at Sydney Games Centre from June 29th to July 1st and will be heaps of fun, details as follows: 2007 STAR TREK TCG CONTINENTALS DAY ONE ? At 2pm July 1st we'll go into the top 8 play-offs for the continentals, and at the same time run a World Championship Qualifier for those who didn't make the cut! This will be a 3 day festival of a great ccg, Star Trek. We had 16 players for our state championships earlier, so the Continentals will be HUGE! We also play Trek every Tuesday night from about 6pm. It is a fun, free night were players just mingle, chat, swap and play Star Trek 2nd edition. VS(Marvel and DC)TRADEABLE CARD GAME Last week it was a 3 way tie for first between Michael Lou, Jason Au and Luke Bartter in our Random Punks tournament.This Sunday we're having another BIG sealed tournament, details as follows: MAY MONTHLY VS. SYSTEM TOURNAMENT: SEALED ? When: Sunday 27th May. Noon registration, 12.30pm start? Format: VS sealed(players get 5 boosters of HoG to make a 30 card minimum deck with, then play 3 rounds. Then players get 5 boosters of MTU to make a 30 card minimum deck with, play 3 rounds, then we go to a top 8 draft final!)? Entry: $40? Prizes: Winner takes home a box of Marvel Team Up!!! Boosters, t- shirts and a fun day of playing VS are up as prizes. Then on June 23 & 24 we're having a MEGA VS celebration as we have been giving a Elite series tournament! This is huge news for all VS fans, more details next week!

HEROCLIX COLLECTABLE MINIATURE GAME The time to go feral has arrived. This Sunday, in the face of a unsuspecting public, we're running our first ever IRON CLIX tournament. This event is different to any other as we actually encourage you to destroy your opponents pieces-literally! Thats right, when one of your pieces is KO'ed you gotta break it via, pliers, boots, cigerette lighters or tomato sauce bottles-whatever you feel is appropriate to punish your unworthy, unconcious figure! POKEMON TRADEABLE CARD GAME The buzz from the Nationals is still going, and this Sunday our usual Hobby League will be in full swing. It costs just $6 to play, you can play as much or as little as you like, everyone wins a prize and everyone has heaps of fun Pokemon is HEAPS of fun. We play every Sunday from 12 noon till 3.30pm. Its cute, funky and relaxed fun people play. If you'd like to try cruise in on a SUnday, we have decks to lend out and people who'd be happy to show you how its done!

WORLD OF WARCRAFT COLLECTABLE CARD GAME The funkiness that is WOW TCG is starting to crank up with the announcement of the 2007 National Championships at Parramatta September 8 & 9th. And to start getting you ready (and maybe even qualified!)cruise in on Saturday afternoons at 2pm for our weekly WOW Hobby League. Its just $6 to play, constructed, with everone winning a prize and there is boosters and EA promos up for grabs, plus its UDE sanctioned so you can work on your rating as well! And on Tuesday nights we run WOW booster drafts. Last Tuesday Jonathan Luey busted through the field to win from Adrian Capilitan. Rare picks and a fun night are up as prizes Our next Sunday event is a Lazy Peon tournament! Details as follows: WORLD OF WARCRAFT (WOW) TCG LAZY PEON TOURNAMENT ? When: Sunday 3rd June. NEW IN STORE As said earlier the new Star Wars minis expansion, Allies and Empire, came in today and we've already sold 3 cases! Scrye magazine came in today as well, and it came with restocks of Yugiohs Force of the Breaker, Astar Pheonix and Jaden Yuki duelist packs, as well as Spellcaster and Warrior structure decks.
