Hey Basket Weavers,
HEAPS happened here last week, including the surprise revelation by
the musical guru Field Commander Foggo that his favourite band,
WOLFMOTHER, are the ONE exception to the rule that all music can be
traced back to Hank Williams or The Carter Family. Obiwan states
that they are SOOO innovative that they are exempt from the Hank
rule. Is this a shock announcement from the self proclaimed musical
guru? Yes! Are there any other exceptions? No at this stage. Had
Field Commander Foggo been drinking before making this statement?
Absolutely. A spokesperson for the band has said "The guys are
naturally wrapped that they have been singled out by such an astute
musical critic as Chris Boggin. We look forward to catching up with
him when he sees us play at The Great Escape over Easter. Who is
Frank Williams anyway?"
And a sad time for all our lady customers this week. Paul Ross, the
Superjudge for VS and WOW TCG's, is moving to San Diego Easter
Monday to work for Upper Deck Entertainment full time in their R&D
department. With his good looks, legendary physique and natural charm
Paul has always been very popular amongst the ladies and whilst we
wish him every success with his new career, he will be missed at
home.
And for all out there, just some Easter housekeeping. SGC will be
closed Easter Friday, open on Easter Saturday 9.30am-6pm, closed
Easter Sunday then Open 11am-6pm Easter Monday.
Okey Dokey, on this the event news!

MAGIC THE GATHERING COLLECTABLE CARD GAME
Great work last Sunday from Player of the Year aspirant Patrick
Pepper and up and coming MTG guru Yasuke Kawai who made the final
then split the $$$ in the type 2 Player of the Year tournament. 22
players attended all up, with the competition being so strong that
MTG Legend, The Mighty Allan Sharpe, commenting "this was the
toughest field I have ever seen at a MTG event since a full
strengthed Team Shonk took on the World at the 1999 Karachi
Masters". Big words from a big man. But the main thing was that
everyone had a fun day with the Player of the Year standings now
