NEWSLETTER - 02/02/07

Hey Groovers,

As we speak Field Commander Foggo and Mistress of Lerve Vickey are
setting up base camp in the U S of A for a much deserved 3 weeks of
eating fried food, drinking weak beer and experiencing long delays
in using the local public tranport system. Luckily, they are going
to Nashville at some point, meaning Foggo's extensive CD collection
of boot scooting, mechanical bull riding country music is just about
to get a major overhaul. Let's hope he doesn't pick up any more
William Shatner albums at the same time.

Lots happening this weekend, lets kick off!

VS(MARVEL AND DC)TRADEABLE CARD GAME

It was one of the BIGGEST weekends for VS in a while, and that will
only get bigger. Last Friday saw the running or the 3rd annual
Australia Day Cup. 19 fit VS players fronted up with Golden Age
power and after 6 rounds plus a top 8 play off Luke Bartter added
his name to other VS greats such as Alex Antonies and Adrianna
Xenides by taking out the title, taking home 3 boxes of VS for his
trouble. Peoples Front of Judea operative Sam Kassis came in 9th,
winning the right to challenge Arkham for a free entry into 2
flights of the upcoming Marvel Team Up Sneak Preview(details below)
but when told of this chickened out, saying that, and I quote, "I
think I hear my mummy calling me". Maybe next week...

And Troy "Louis" Armstrong went 5-0 to win our funky beatdown
tournament on Sunday, taking home some packs and a free entry into
the Marvel Team Up sneak preview. He then went on to lose to Arkham
3-0, but at least he had a go

OK, HEAPS happening in VS in the upcoming weeks. Details as follows:
