Magic the Gathering (MTG) is the world's most popular CCG and the Sydney Games Centre hosts Australia's largest MTG community. We have Magic events on nearly every day. You can stop by for a casual game anytime--odds are good that you'll find another Magic player hanging out. We're happy to give advice on gameplay or deckbuilding or give you a demo. We have a massive collection of MTG singles from every set and carry tons of Magic boosters including Fifth Dawn, Mirrodin, Scourge, Champions of Kamigawa, Ravnica, Guildpact, Dissension, Coldsnap, Time Spiral, Planar Chaos, Future Sight, 10th Edition and Lorwyn. We also have Wizards of the Coast preconstructed decks and our own store-made preconstructed Magic decks.

Magic Player of the Year 07-08 StandingsSydney Games Centre the 07-08 Magic Player of the Year race is on! One special tournament per month for 1 year will be designated as an opportunity to earn PotY points culminating in a free tournament at the end of the season for the highest ranked PotY contenders. The prize for the 07-08 PotY will be free airfare and entry into the next Australasian GP! We will award PotY points to the top 8 finishers in each designated PotY event, and at the end of the year the top 8 contenders will play duplicate sealed for the trophy and the trip! Points are given as follows in each PotY event: 1st 10, 2nd 8, 3rd 6, 4th 5, 5th 4, 6th 3, 7th 2, 8th 1.

Morningtide Pre-Release
When: 19 and 20 January 9am rego 9:30 start, 3pm rego 3:30 start. Be on time or be sad!
Where: Saturday Bowler's Club of NSW (95 York St) in Sydney City, Sunday Burwood RSL Club (96 Shaftesbury Rd) in Burwood and the Imperial Centre in Gosford.
What: Morningtide Sealed: Get a Lorwyn Starter and 3 Morningtide boosters to build your best deck with! Keep what you crack! There will be serious and casual flights, as well as an Under 16 flight on Saturday. Two Headed Giant is on in the afternoons!

Weekly Thursday Night Drafts
When: Every single Thursday from about 6:00 til about 11 (or later). Each draft you enter last about 2.5 hours.
Entry: Only $12 for 3 boosters! Dollar boosters are also available for $3 drafts. It's a great night out! Prizes: Draft the rares from all the cracked boosters.
Weekly Friday Night Magic (FNM)
When: Every single Friday. 6pm rego, 6:30 start. What: 4 rounds of Standard Type 2.
Entry: $6
Prizes: Win FNM promo foils and boosters.
S.A.T. - Saturday Afternoon Tournaments
This is our answer to the Junior Super Series. Tournaments are only open for players aged 14 and under. Good players will be on hand to help newbies out and everyone wins a prize!
When: Every Saturday, 2pm rego, 2:30 start!
What: 4 unsanctioned rounds of Standard Type 2. We will help you get your deck up to Type 2 standards and walk you through your first few rounds if you need the help.

Prizes: Everyone wins at least a booster's worth of cards, and you'll draft rares.
Sunday Arena League
